Marine Accounts joins Nautilus strategic yacht partner network

7 July 2017

Nautilus International has further enhanced its services for seafarers in the large yacht sector by welcoming a new tax and mortgage strategic partner into its network - Marine Accounts.

Marine Accounts joined the Union's yacht partner network, following discussions held at the Palma Superyacht Show 2017.

The company has offices in the UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand, and can advise yacht crew on their tax and residency status around the world. The company also files tax returns for its clients under the UK Seafarers Earnings Deduction (SED) and the US Foreign Earned Income Exclusion (FEIE).

Marine Accounts helps yacht crew to secure mortgages and open suitable bank accounts – not so easy for seafarers who face frequent absences from home – as well as providing guidance on other financial matters for offshore workers. It provides popular regular newsletters offering advice and guidance relevant to yacht crew.

Nautilus strategic organiser Danny McGowan said: 'We are delighted to welcome Marine Accounts into the Union's yacht partner network, showing their clients and our members that they too are committed to the safety, welfare and professional development of superyacht workers.

'Our growing network of partners is testament to the hard work of the Union and to those existing partners in the network. Nautilus wants to see a successful international superyacht industry and our ethos of working in partnership in the interests of maritime professionals really sets the Union apart from other associations.'
